Vote Liberal Democrat Today
Every vote for the Liberal Democrats counts. It's a vote to elect a strong local champion, who will fight for a fair deal for you and your community.
This August, Brian is heading out on his Summer Tour.
We know it can be harder for people in our smaller, more rural communities to get the chance to speak to their MP face-to-face. So we're bringing the conversation to you.
Over the next few weeks, Brian will be visiting villages across the constituency - listening, chatting, and hearing directly from people about the issues that matter locally.
📍 Keep an eye on local noticeboards, community groups, and parish newsletters for the date and time Brian will be in your area – and do come along if you can.
Whether it’s a local concern, a quick question, or just a friendly hello – we’d love to see you.
If you'd like to know the exact date and time for your village please do contact the office via email - brian.mathew.mp@parliament.uk
To all the residents of Melksham and Devizes constituency, including Bradford on Avon and all our villages,
It is a tremendous privilege to have been elected to serve as your Member of Parliament.
I thank all of you who supported me during the election campaign, and whether you voted for me or not, as your MP I am here to work for each and every one of you. My ambition is on behalf of our whole area, to do all within my power to strengthen our communities, be an advocate for those in need, press for better public services and work to protect our environment.
With over 70 new Liberal Democrat MPs, including this one, Lib Dems are going to start making a difference to the way this country is governed. We will be holding the Labour Government to account over its promises in parliament and introducing Liberal Democrat ideas through debates and the committee system.
